North Dakota Production Oil & Gas Regulatory Reports (New in SP2)

Use

As of SAP Oil & Gas 4.6c Service Pack 2, North Dakota production reports can now be processed using the Production Regulatory Reporting central reporting tool ('the framework', transaction O3UREP_MASTER). The reports are used to report on oil and gas volumes produced from wells in North Dakota. You can also use the framework to report sold volumes (volumes sold to first purchasers), and injection volumes.

You can set up the required Regulatory ID as master data. It is the ID that the state agency uses to identify the producing well. The following additional master data can be maintained: well completion ID, effective to and from dates, ND UIC (underground injection control) ID, ND well name, ND well number, and ND unit/field.

Production volumes data comes from PRA-Production (data already stored in PRA-Production tables). Sales/purchase data comes from PRA-CA. Hardcopies can be output in smartform format and then sent to the Industrial Commission of North Dakota - the reporting agency.

The following reports are available for North Dakota reporting:

Form 5 - North Dakota Oil Production Report - Is a monthly report that is used to report on wells in a CTB (tank battery). The report has base sediment and water (BS&W) drawn and lease use volumes.

Form 5A - North Dakota Oil Production Report - A continuation of Form 5. A separate report is required for each different field, pool, county and operator.

Form 5B - North Dakota Gas Production Report - Used to report volumes of gas.

Form 10 - North Dakota Purchasers Monthly Report - This report is filed by the first purchaser. All volumes of crude oil or other liquid hydrocarbon should be listed, separately, in this report.

Form 10A - North Dakota Oil Transporters Monthly Report - This report is filed by the transporter. All volumes of crude oil or other liquid hydrocarbons transported from each well or central tank battery are reported.

Form 16 - Saltwater Disposal Report - Well operators who use saltwater for injection in North Dakota, have to file this report. It lists, for each injection well, the source wells of disposal water, and method of transportation.

Form 16A - Saltwater Disposal Report Continuation - A continuation of Form 16.

Form 17 - Enhanced Recovery Report - A regular monthly report, regardless of the status of the operations. All active, shut-in, or temporarily abandoned injection wells are included in this report. The report is accompanied by Form 17A..

Form 17A - Enhanced Recovery Source Report - This report should accompany the Enhanced Recovery Report - Form 17, if there were any injections during the reporting month.

Using the framework, you can:

- Create master data (Reg.IDs) for the report

- Use the report to generate the state report, to comply with state production reporting requirements.

- View already-reported volumes

- View changed records due to prior period adjustments

- View the report status update

- View the report history

- Relevant volume transactional data is received from PRA-Production.

- The report can be run in current or amended mode. Amended mode is used when you need to correct/change data to records already generated (for example, due to a prior period adjustment).

- Smartforms are used to display, print, and save the output as a hardcopy.

... --> Regulatory Reporting Master Data Set-Up - Here, you can set up report: assigned structures, maintainable fields, field values, reporting levels, and output options.

... --> Regulatory Reporting Customizing- Here, you can set up: Reports, maintainable fields, agency values, column rules, standard text, rounding differences (how they are to be handled), and unit of measure.
