Valuation Formula Transaction (Changed in SP2)

Use

As of SAP Oil & Gas 4.6C Service Pack 2, the Alternates function of the Valuation Formula transactions (Logistics → Production and Revenue Accounting → Revenue Accounting → Valuation → Valuation Formula) has changed.

Previously alternates details were maintained on the same screen for Factor 1 and Factor 2 details. (Alternates details can be used to specify key fields such as measurement point, well completion, company code, venture/division of interest, tract number, contract, purchaser, and unit of measure in a formula, which are then used as alternates instead of key fields from the transaction.)

Now the Alternates dialog box has been redesigned with three separate tabs for Factor 1, Factor 2, and Results. For certain reserved words, a tax type and tax class can be specified in the Results tab.

Also, when entering Factor 1 and Factor 2 details, a unit of measure is required only for gas pricing words that are used in the formula detail where the other factor is not volume-based.
