Valuation Prior Period Notifications (Enhanced in SP2)

Use

As of SAP Oil & Gas 4.6C Service Pack 2, it is now possible to view volume-related prior period notifications (PPNs) transaction which are generated automatically by the Production and Contractual Allocation application areas. You view the volume-related PPNs in the in the Valuation Prior Period Notification Selection transaction.

In the Valuation Prior Period Notification Selection transaction, the PPNs are shown as display only; they cannot be changed, as the system will process them automatically. Also, the reason codes for these PPNs contain the words volume change.

In addition, there are three types of PPNs that used to be manual but are now automatically-generated and viewable: deletion of VCR, add's, and end-date of VCR PPNs.
