Batch Control Processing
Use
Journal Entry batch information can be created and maintained. Control totals are used to ensure that the data has been entered correctly and that all proper accounting procedures have been met before a batch can be selected for processing.

The customizing table that is involved contains beginning batch numbers by company, accounting period, and batch type. The beginning batch numbers contained in the table will be used in PRA when determining the batch number to assign for journal entries. After the batch number is used, the accessing program will increment and update the batch number by company and accounting period and batch type. The Journal Entry component will re-initialize the beginning batch numbers for the new accounting period when the current accounting period has been closed. Beginning batch numbers are maintained by batch type in common table TBLRV040.
There will be three sets of these entries present -- one set for each accounting period on the Batch Control Table (OIUH_RV_BLN) table.
This can be customized under Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Production and Revenue Accounting) --> Revenue Accounting --> Define Batch Control Numbers.
