JE Offset Purge (New)

Use

As of mySAP Oil & Gas 4.6c, SP1, offset entries in line item tables in JE can be purged (deleted). The JE Purge is a batch process that deletes entries from the JE line item tables and moves them to the Historical Archive Table (depending on how you customized that). You can select either offset purge, or annual purge.

The process is to remove entries that have been offset with the appropriate clearing entries. The purge key is a pre-defined combination of columns in the Header Line Item Table and line item table.

The offset purge applies only to the following JE line item types:

Accounts receivable

Legal suspense

Owner payable

Taxes payable

Effects on Existing Data

Effects on Data Transfer

Effects on System Administration

Effects on Customizing

You can set up customizing so that the Historical Archive Table is used when a purge is carried out.
