DOI Approval

Use

A division of interest must be approved before it can be used in Ownership. DOI approval is only carried out once for a division of interest. That results in a DOI being set to "approved". The approval process results in the validation of the ownership information, which includes DOI owners and bearer groups. It also triggers the check-in process. The check-in process is used to do the following: to validate ownership data, and copy ownership changes from the check-out area to the check-in area.
