Additional Features in Rundown and Rundown Report (Enhanced)

Use

As of mySAP Oil&Gas 46C SP1, there are additional features in the Rundown, enhancements to the layout, selection control , and reporting of the Rundown, as well as, additional Customizing for the Rundown.

The following additional features are available in the Rundown:

  • You can exclude certain locations from being used as the basis for the Rundown. To do this, you deactivate Rundown relevance in the location/material master data record. This is useful in cases where certain locations, such as planning locations, should not be included in the Rundown. By deactivating their Rundown relevance, you can improve the performance of the Rundown.
  • In the initial screen of the Rundown, you can select if the Rundown Error Log is to be displayed in the Rundown.
  • From the Rundown tool bar, you can select a dialog box to show the average rack issue consumption per weekday, based on the values entered for the history horizon and offset.
  • The Rundown provides new routines for forecasting rack issues, including a forecast average over days, weekdays, or based on a customer-specific forecast routine (using BADI/customer exit routine). The forecast is calculated according to the values entered in the location/material maintenance for the rack forecast profile, factory calendar, history horizon, forecast type, and offset.
  • You can generate the Rundown for planning locations, so that the Rundown shows all nominations that correspond to the sublocations of a planning location.
  • You can maintain the physical inventory for a location and material in a specified Unit of Measure (UoM). You can also maintain the physical inventory for the current date and dates in the past.

The following layout enhancements are available:

  • Improved layout and selection using the features of the Advanced List Viewer (ALV), including graphics tools, user-defined column/row layout, sorting, and filtering
  • Selection control in HTML for the Rundown
  • Separate screen areas for selection and data entry
  • Tabstrips for additional data, such as Rundown header attributes and Rundown object constraints
  • Interactive Rundown reporting using the ALV grid control
  • One Rundown Report for viewing the Rundown by material or by material and batch/valuation type

Additional Customizing settings for the Rundown are available in Customizing for Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream) → TSW (Trader's and Scheduler's Workbench) → Rundown → Specify rundown parameters. The following Customizing enhancements are available:

  • Activate or deactivate the real-time update of the Rundown. When activated in Customizing, the Rundown is updated each time you save a TSW-relevant sales order, purchase order, nomination, or ticket.
  • Rundown generated by batch or valuation type. Depending on your Customizing selection, the system uses either the batch or the valuation type from R/3 documents and nominations as the basis for the Rundown. The Rundown output report shows the disaggregation and the totals.
  • Calculation of inventory based on start day or day end. This setting determines if the nominations from the current day are used to determine the inventory for the next day or if the nominations from the current day are used to determine the inventory for the current day.
  • Correction of rack forecasts in the Rundown by adding to the rack issue forecast or if overwriting the forecast.
  • Historic What-If inventory can be based on the SAP book inventory or physical inventory. You can determine if the What-If column of the Rundown shows the physical inventory or the SAP Book Inventory.
  • You can select if the nomination is displayed in the Rundown on the scheduled date of the nomination item or on the end date of the ticket.
