New Internet Application Component: Business Partner Data
Description
Using the internet application component (IAC) business partner data, a customer can change his/her own data via a web browser in the internet. The following general data can be changed:
- Business partner data
- Address data
- Account details
- Credit card data
You can find the individual components of the IAC (service file, HTML templates and language resource files in service name EIAC_PARTNER in the R/3 system. Choose: Tools -> Business Framework -> Web development ->Web object administration.
Before a customer can change his/her data via the internet, you must create a user for him/her. To do this, choose Tools -> Administration -> User maintenance -> Internet user.
The process flow is as follows:
- The customer is identified by his/her customer number and password.
- The correpsonding data is displayed via the browser.
- The customer can then change and subsequently save his/her data.

For more information on installing a web server and the SAP internet transaction server, choose Help -> R/3 Library then CA- Cross-Appication Components -> Business Framework Architecture (CA-BFA) -> Web Basis (CA-BFA-WEB) -> R/3 Internet Application Components.
