Correction of Meter Reading Results and Backbilling Status
Use
Correction of Implausible Meter Reading Results for Floating Backbilling and Dynamic Period Control
As of SAP IS-U/CCS 4.64 you can make changes to the meter reading result in the backbilling period during Floating Backbilling.
If you do not want to allow these changes to be made, go to Customizing for SAP Utilities and choose Device Management -> Meter Reading -> Basic Settings -> Define Control Parameters for Meter Reading Data Processing. Here select the No Change to MR checkbox (No Change to Billed Meter Reading During Floating Backbilling).
You can also change the meter reading result in the backbilling period during Dynamic Period Control. If you use meter reading result 09 (Interim meter reading without billing) or 10 (Control reading), you can enter a meter reading in the backbilling period. In addition, you can change all fields that are ready for input (changes are not limited to meter readings).
Backbilling Status
Because a change to a meter reading result in a backbilling period can result in an implausible meter reading, you can now correct these implausible meter readings for floating backbilling and dynamic period control using the Implausible Meter Reading Results transaction. You can find this transaction in the menu for the Utilities Industry under Device Management -> Meter Reading -> Correction of Meter Reading Results.
There is now a backbilling status to inform you that the meter reading lies within a backbilling period and may be implausible. The backbilling status is displayed in the following transactions in the menu for the Utilities Industry:
- under Device Management -> Meter Reading -> Correction of Meter Reading Results
- under Device Management -> Meter Reading -> Correction of Meter Reading Results
- under Device Management -> Meter Reading -> Entry of Meter Reading Results
- under Device Management -> Meter Reading -> Entry of Meter Reading Results -> Fast Entry
- under Device Management -> Meter Reading -> Entry of Meter Reading Results -> Fast Entry
- under Device Management -> Meter Reading -> Monitoring
The following backbilling statuses exist:
- 1- Floating backbilling
- 2- Dynamic period control
If you do not use backbilling for dynamic period control or for floating backbilling, the backbilling status remains empty.
