Changes by Migrating the IDoc Interface to the FI-CA Standard

Due to the migration of the IS-T-IDoc interface to the FI-CA standard, previous users of this interface must use a different interface in version 4.71.

The migration was kept as simple as possible and the changeover is supported as much as possible.

The IS-T variant of the IDoc interface is no longer supported in version 4.71.

The following changes have occurred as a result of the migration.

  • Namespace changes for IDoc types, IDoc segments, data elements, function module names and so on.
The prefixes for the IDoc types and data have been changed from IST to FKK; for example, from IDoc segment IST_EBS_TOI_COPA to FKK_EBS_TOI_COPA.
  • Interface types IST_EBS_TOI and IST_EBS_TOI_COPA have been combined.
The IDoc type FKK_EBS_TOI_COPA for document transfer replaces the IDoc type IST_EBS_TOI (compatible) in release 4.71. As a rule, the IDoc types and segments have been kept compatible and downwards compatibility has been enhanced. If you do not use the CO-PA enhancement of the interface, you can set the processing logic of the interface IST_EBS_TOI in Customizing.
  • Changes to events
The IDoc interface events now start with the event 2400 (previously T400). The sequence remains the same.

Functional Enhancements

In release 4.71, the following functions have been added to the IDoc interface:

  • In IDoc segment E1FKK_EBS_TOI_ITEMS, the VAT code can now be entered in the field TAX_CODE. If the code is entered, the value added tax code is used for determining tax. If not, the internal code is used.
  • You can determine a customer enhancement segment for the IDoc segment E1FKK_EBS_TOI_ITEMS. In event 2413, you can transfer external data and its industry and customer enhancements to table DFKKOP.
  • The mass processing transaction accesses a new, improved application log processing.

Changes in Customizing Due to the Migration of the IDoc Interface to the FI-CA Standard

The most important Customizing settings are automatically transferred by the report (XPRA) ISU_XPRA_IST20_FKKIDOC during the update.

The following Customizing entries are copied with the report:

  • Basic settings for document transfer: Table IST_EBS_TOI_SYST in FKK_EBS_TOI_SYST
  • Define characteristic derivations for the CO-PA update: Table IST_EBS_TOI_COPA in FKK_EBS_TOI_COPA
  • Define translation of external item identification: Posting area R600 in 1400
  • Define translation of external tax identification: Posting area R605 in 1405
  • Settings for reversing documents: Posting area R610 in 410
