Enhancements to the Controlling Cockpit (New/Changed)

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Industry Extension Utilities, Waste and Recycling, Enhancement Package 2 or 4, you can use the enhanced controlling cockpit to manage, prepare, and execute waste-specific control postings for waste disposal orders. The technology and processes of the controlling cockpit are based on the waste disposal order cockpit.

With Enhancement Package 4, the following functions are new:

  • You can now run background reports for CO postings. You can choose whether you are dealing with a preparation of posting records, the final posting, or even a reversal. The technology of the work areas of the waste disposal order cockpit is used for the selection. You can the execute the functions from the online transaction in the background. You can use report EEWAR_CCOC_BATCH to do this, which you can find in package EEWA_CCOC.
  • As part of the background report, Business Process Exception Management (BPEM) has also been integrated into the Controlling Cockpit. You can now better check the process flow of a background report and the corresponding CO actions.
  • In the online transaction, you can now also reversed previously posted CO data if necessary.
  • The weighing transactions have also been integrated into the Controlling Cockpit. This enables you to monitor the costs of executed weighing transactions in (EWAWA01).
  • Further enhancements have been made to the posting logic for cost rates and items.
  • Enhancements have been made to the interface to improve navigation structure and user information.
  • Additional functions have been added to the search strategy tables - for example, certain posted waste disposal service types that are not marked as billable.
  • The status is now also displayed as a traffic light icon, as is the case in the waste disposal order cockpit. Depending on the status of the object in question, the different traffic lights are displayed in the hierarchy tree of waste disposal orders, waste disposal order items, and weighing transactions.
  • You can now also search within a hierarchy tree of waste disposal orders according to specific criteria.

The Controlling Cockpit is called as an additional entity with its own interface.

You can find the transactions for controlling integration in the SAP Easy Access Menü under Waste Management → Master Data → Basic Settings → Controlling Integration.
