Enhancements to Accelerated Weighing Entry

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Industry Extension Utilities, Waste & Recycling, Enhancement Package 4, several enhancements are available for the Treatment and Disposal scenario group.

  • Enhanced options for reversing the weighing transaction:
You can now reverse a weighing transaction that belongs to the External Delivery category along with the material posting and direct debit request, as long as invoicing has not yet taken place. When reversing a weighing transaction that belongs to the Internal Delivery category, the status of the corresponding waste disposal order is taken into account and, if necessary, the reversal does not take place.
  • You can compare the material quantities from an external delivery with the material quantities defined in a quantity contract.
  • Change history:
You can use the overview to determine which user has made which changes to a weighing transaction.
  • Copying function:
To reduce the time needed to create a weighing transaction, you can copy an existing one.
  • Defining weighing fees and entering them in the weighing transaction
The system allocates definitions of materials that represent a weighing fee to the waste disposal facility. You can enter these weighing fees in a weighing transaction and transfer them.
  • Entering data of a one-time customer:
If you do not want to create a separate business partner master record for a one-time customer in the system, you can enter data such as name and address directly during the weighing transaction. To further process the weighing transaction, the system uses a "dummy business partner", which determines the prices for the delivery of material, amongst other things. The data entered here is saved in the weighing transaction. This data is not processed further and the function is not available in the Sales and Distribution component.
  • Check validity of tare weight of vehicle
If you do not have a second weighing and you use the tare weight from the vehicle master record, you can check the validity of the tare weight with regard to the number of weighings since the last tare weighing and/or the number of days since the last tare weighing. You can also define your own validity rules in a BAdI.
The validity of the tare weight is checked against certain measurement points for the vehicle, which you must define beforehand. If you have already mapped your fleet of vehicles in the system and you now want to add the necessary measurement points to the vehicle, you can use report REWA_ALLOCATE_VALIDITY. Also see the documentation for the report.
  • Entering the location in a weighing transaction:
In additional to the premise, you can now also enter the container location in a weighing transaction, thus determining the origin of the material. You can use the container location when entering reverse samples and view controls, as well as for delivery locks.
  • Collective printing of weighing transactions:
You can now print multiple weighing transactions on a weighing document.
  • Notes field:
You can now enter notes, which can then also be included on the weighing document, for example.
