ISU_AMI_3: Connection of Monitoring to the Upload of Profiles (New)

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 6 for SAP ERP 6.0, Industry Extension Utilities, Waste & Recycling (ISU_UTIL_WASTE), Business Function Utilities, Advanced Metering Infrastructure 3 (ISU_AMI_3), you can use monitoring of AMI communication after the profile data (time series) has been uploaded to view detailed information about the upload.

Monitoring is activated as a default setting.

If you are using the service operations

  • UtilitiesTimeSeriesERPItemBulkCreateRequest_In
  • UtilitiesTimeSeriesERPItemBulkCreateConfirmation_Out
  • UtilitiesTimeSeriesERPItemBulkChangeRequest_In
  • UtilitiesTimeSeriesERPItemBulkChangeConfirmation_Out

respectively to upload profiles to your SAP System and confirm the upload performed, you can define monitoring of these processes to identify whether uploads that contain errors have occurred.

The default monitoring setting only displays any incorrect uploads. You can also define monitoring as follows:

  • Log all AMI messages
  • Only log AMI messages about errors
  • Do not log any AMI messages

You make settings for the service operations UtilitiesTimeSeriesERPItemBulkCreateRequest_In and UtilitiesTimeSeriesERPItemBulkCreateConfirmation_Out in the enhancement spot ISU_SPOT_SE_TIMESERS using the BAdI ISU_SE_TSITEMCRTBLKRCI_ASYN and method INBOUND_PROCESSING.

You make settings for the service operations UtilitiesTimeSeriesERPItemBulkChangeRequest_In and UtilitiesTimeSeriesERPItemBulkChangeConfirmation_Out in the enhancement spot ISU_SPOT_SE_TIMESERS using the BAdI ISU_SE_TSITEMCHGBLKRCI_ASYN and method INBOUND_PROCESSING.

You can use the transaction Monitoring of AMI Communication (EAMIMON01) to check the status of the data exchange process and all associated information and messages for the object types Profile and Profile - Bulk Message. You can also access a profile directly from this transaction and display the corresponding messages.

The field Outbound Message indicates here whether processing was successful for each profile. You can use the PI Monitor field to view specific XML messages about a profile and edit entries in the field Display PPO (Display Post Processing Office) directly in Forward Error Handling (FEH).

Effects on Existing Data

The existing monitoring transaction EAMIMON01 remains unchanged.
