ISU_607_5_WA_EWAMULT: Multiple Item Weighing (new)

Use

With SAP Enhancement Package 7 for SAP ERP 6.0, SP05, Industry Extension Utilities, Waste & Recycling (ISU_UTIL_WASTE) you can use the multiple item weighing (transaction name: EWAWA_MULTI). Unlike the accelerated weighing entry you can capture several items in one weighing transaction. By depicting several processes in one transaction, clarity is improved and time is saved since certain fields are filled automatically. Moreover, with SAP Enhancement Package 7 for SAP ERP 6.0, SP05, Industry Extension Utilities, Waste & Recycling(ISU_UTIL_WASTE) you have the possibility to maintain additional data, e.g. the waste volume or various units for quantity measurement.

The following functionalities are provided with the multiple item weighing:

  • Internal weighings (based on waste disposal orders)
The internal weighing was mainly copied from the accelerated weighing entry. You can execute input and output weighings. With SAP Enhancement Package 7 for SAP ERP 6.0, SP05, Industry Extension Utilities, Waste & Recycling(ISU_UTIL_WASTE) additional input fields, e.g. for the waste volume or the quantity measurement in different units, such as pallets, are provided. This is relevant for maintaining stocks and the customer contract management during output weighing. Output weighings can now be booked on waste disposal orders. Input and output weighings differ only in the quantity booking.
  • 3rd party weighing (based on SD contracts)
Input and output weighings are based on SD contracts. Once the waste is weighed a material document is created and the material movement saved. With SAP Enhancement Package 7 for SAP ERP 6.0, SP05, Industry Extension Utilities, Waste & Recycling (ISU_UTIL_WASTE) you can also use the data fields waste volume and quantity.
  • Weighing of several items
This function is the main innovation of the multiple item weighing. You can execute a grouped weighing for several items enabling you to automatically process different materials on weighing notes.
The following fields don’t need to be edited:
  • license plate

  • shift date

  • customer

The following fields have to be edited when posting several items:
  • waste disposal facility

  • waste treatment

  • waste

  • weight

  • voume

  • quantity

  • stock data

  • note

Depending on whether an input or output weighing is executed, the entered weighing data are automatically taken over and used as calculation basis for additional items. This reduces not only the maintenance effort but also the error rate while a separate piece goods entry is no longer required.
  • Copy weighing transactions (without follow-on documents)
This function enables you to copy weighing data. All maintained data are taken over. Only the follow-on documents have to be created.
  • Weighing transaction as template (except for weights and follow-on documents)
For a more efficient processing of weighing transactions, the multiple item weighing enables you to create templates. The basic data of the weighing transaction are filled automatically, only the quantity fields have to be captured.
  • Material input and output postings
With SAP Enhancement Package 7 for SAP ERP 6.0, SP05, Industry Extension Utilities, Waste & Recycling (ISU_UTIL_WASTE) the material input and output is posted automatically.
  • Create follow-on documents when completing (booking) the weighing transaction
  • 3rd Party Delivery: material documents and debit memo requests

When completing a transaction, the follow-on documents as well as the debit memo requests are created. You can configure which fields are automatically to be copied from weighing into the debit memo request. With SAP Enhancement Package 7 for SAP ERP 6.0, SP05, Industry Extension Utilities, Waste & Recycling (ISU_UTIL_WASTE) you can set filter for contract types.
  • Internal Delivery: material documents and weighing note in EWAWDOC

Once the weighing transaction is completed the weighing note is created. The value is compared to the data maintained in the contract. A material document is created containing information on the waste, the quantity, the date and the relevant storage.
  • Item Default Values
  • Input Weighing: Taking over the tare weight from item 1 as gross weight for item 2

With SAP Enhancement Package 7 for SAP ERP 6.0, SP05, Industry Extension Utilities, Waste & Recycling (ISU_UTIL_WASTE) the tare weight from item 1 is automatically saved as gross weight for item 2 during a grouped weighing with several items. Copy errors are thereby ,,reduced.
  • Output weighing: Taking over the gross weight from item 1 as tare weight for item 2

The above described process is reversed. For output weighings, the gross weight from item 1 is automatically taken over as tare weight for item 2.

Moreover, the multiple item weighing comes with several new filter possibilities for:

  • contracts

  • items

  • materials

  • customers

The following functionalities from the accelerated weighing are integrated in the multiple item weighing:

The settings of the waste diposal faciltiy order types and hardware profile groups apply.

Effects on Existing Data

Weighing data records from the accelerated weighing entry (transaction name: EWAWA01) cannot be displayed or edited in the multiple item weighing.

Effects on Data Transfer

Effects on System Administration

Effects on Customizing

  1. Number Range for Weighing Transactions
In order to create a weighing transaction with the multiple item weighing, you have to create a number range in the Customizing of Waste and Recycling under Define number ranges for weighing transactions. This number range object applies also to the accelerated weighing entry, i.e. if you have already created such number range you don’t have to create another one.
  1. Assigning Contract Types
In order to make sure that the weighing data are captured only for permissible contract types during 3rd party input and output weighings, you have to maintain the relevant contract type in the Customizing of Waste and Recycling under Validity Settings of SD Contracts. If there is no contract type maintained, you can capture the weighing data for all contract types.
