Short text

JVA Archiving and SAP AS (Archive information system)

Description

In the actual release all JVA archiving objects were connected to the SAP AS (transaction SARI) via respective fieldcatalogues and informationstructures.

The archiving objects involved are

  • JV_OBJECT (JVA Data)
  • JV_BILLING (JVA Billing data)
  • JV_PRICING (JVA Pricing data)
  • JV_BANK_SW (JVA Documents involved in bank account switching)
  • JV_EVENT (JVA Process event data)

The informationstructures enable the customer to read archived data in a technical way as fast as possible: The archives are read by file and the offset of the data in question so that sequential reading is no more necessary if a direct access to archived data is needed.

The SAP AS is customized for immediate usage - the information structures have just to be activated via transaction SARI (where explicit online information is available).

The generated index tables which are in 1-1 corresondence with the informationstructures can be filled subsequently or online.

The data can be displayed via the SAP AS archive explorer and the status of the archive informationstructures (meaning the index table's fill status) can be checked via the SAP AS status administration.

Customer defined views to the archives can be defined in the SAP AS customizing.
