AFS Quantity and Distribution Calculation

Use

With the transaction /AFS/MRP_S430 you can use data from the AFS information structure S430 as follows:

1. to calculate the distribution at grid value level and category level
2. to calculate the planned requirements

After calling the transcation, you must create a structure for the source and target materials. You can group them in a two-level hierarchy. The first level always contains the source materials. The source materials must have data in the AFS information structure S430 at the time of the transfer. The data transfer to the information structure S430 is triggered by activating the indicator in the material master (tab page Sales: sales org. 2, indicator Matl statistics grp).

The calculation of the distribution is a simplified option when compared to the SIS calculation. Each target material can be set differently for the data transfer. You generally make the entry for the requirements distribution at material level (J4A1). In so doing, the grid settings or category settings of the target material are transferred.

When transferring the target materials to the planning, you can transfer the target materials in different target versions and at grid value level or material level. Here you must make sure that the selection periods of the source material and target material are identical.
