Use

Shipment Costs Simulation

Using the function "Shipment Costs Simulation", the transportation planner has the option of calculating the shipment costs while processing the shipments. In this way, he can view the shipment costs relevant for a shipment. The planner can change shipment data, such as the forwarding agent, shipping conditions, and mode of transport, and then calculate the costs on the basis of these combinations. The shipment costs comparison provides an important basis for decision-making in transportation planning and also helps to reduce the shipment costs.

For the tendering function in business-to-business, the planner can also calculate a proposal for the maximum price that should not be exceeded by the forwarding agent.

The functions include:

• Calculation and display of shipment costs

• Detailed display of shipment cost document

• Display of the processing log
