SAP Customs Management - NCTS Certification for the Netherlands (New)

Use

As of Release 3.0 of SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS), in the Netherlands, you can use the EU's New Computerized Transit System (NCTS) to handle your transit processes in the simplified procedure and the normal procedure. SAP GTS 3.0 provides a certified communication basis for complying with message exchange requirements for communication between your company and the Dutch customs authorities.

  • You require the following messages to comply with the message exchange requirements of the Dutch customs authorities. These messages are provided in SAP GTS 3.0:
  • Arrival notification

  • Arrival notification rejection

  • Cancellation decision

  • Declaration cancellation

  • Transit declaration

  • Transit declaration rejection

  • Arrival notification release

  • Formal acceptance

  • Release for transit

  • Unloading permission

  • Conformity check

  • Close transit procedure

  • No permission for transit

  • Request of release

  • Conformity check rejection

  • Inspection required

  • Rejection of request of release

  • In SAP GTS 3.0, you can print the following country-specific documents for transit processing. These documents are different from the standard EU documents:
  • Transit accompanying document

  • Item list

The NCTS procedure for the Netherlands provides you with the following business advantages:

To set up transit processing using the NCTS for the Netherlands in SAP GTS 3.0, you have to configure this in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for SAP GTS 3.0. You do this by choosing SAP Global Trade Services-> SAP Customs Management -> General Settings -> Basic Functions-> Communication Processes for Document Print and EDI and SAP Global Trade Services -> SAP Customs Management -> 'Transit Procedure' Service.
