Document Management System: Enhancements for Finding Document
Scope of Functions
Changes to the Interface
Until now you could enter selection criteria for finding documents by using the menu entry Extras. This entry no longer exists. You enter all selction criteria on the following tab pages:
- Document data
- Classification
- Object links
- When you call the tab page you see a tab that has a separate tab page for containing the object specific key data for each linked SAP Object (for example, material, change number).
- Texts
Function Enhancements
You can now use the following new functions starting with this release:
- Enter Selections Criteria
- Mainly only multiple selection is supprted for entering selections criteria. You can enter single values as well as intervals.
- You can also use the descriptive short texts as selections criterion.
- Document finding using status has been enhanced.
- You can now save the combination of various search criteria as user- specific or general selection variants.
- Results Screen
- You can now use multiple selection to select and process any number of documents using the same function such as Display.
- The processing possibilites for documents that are included in the standard system (for example, display, change) can be enhanced by the user.
These enterprise specific processes are defined as function module exits. You can call these processes from the results list directly from the toolbar for individual or mass processing.
