OPS_ADVRETURNS_1: Automatic Creation of Follow-Up Documents (new)
Use
As of SAP ECC 6.0, enhancement package 4 (SAP_APPL 604), business function Advanced Returns Management (OPS_ADVRETURNS_1), you can avail of the central tracking function for advanced returns processes. The main feature of this function is the provision of a lean technique to create the necessary follow-up documents in the returns process automatically and in this way relieve users from having to create them manually. Follow-up documents include returns stock transport orders, returns purchase orders, inbound and outbound deliveries, goods movements, and so on.
The tracking function also performs the following actions in the background:
- Tracks all the documents in a returns process
- Tracks any quantity splits that the user creates during logistical or financial processing
- Tracks the maintenance status of all the documents in a returns process
- Provides returns tracking information to involved applications

You configure the automatic creation of follow-up documents in Customizing for Logistics - General by choosing Advanced Returns Management -> General Settings -> Automatic Creation of Follow-up Documents.
