Transport of Selection Classes and Sort Rules

Scope of Functions

Up until now, selection classes and sort rules were stored as internal class numbers in the table of strategy types. When the class was created, an internal number was assigned. As a result of this, the internal number in the source system or client was different from the internal number in the target system or client.

As of Release 4.6A, selection classes and sort rules are stored in their external format in the table of strategy types.

The table is transported with the values for the selection class and sort rule.

In the target system or client, you must have created the classes with the same name.

Effects on System Administration

Effects on Customizing

• If you rename the selection class or sort rule using the classification master data, you have to enter the new class names in Customizing.

• If you access the selection class (CLINT_SEL) and the sort rule (CLINT_SRT) in table T685H or in view V_T685H using your own programs, you have to determine the class using the fields CLASS_SEL (selection class) and CLASS_SRT (sort rule).
