ERP_UID_02: Changes in the IDoc-Based Communication (new)

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enhancement Package 4 (SAP_APPL 604), business function Item Unique Identification (Additional Functions) (ERP_UID_02), the IDoc-based communication between customer and supplier changed.

Up to now, it was possible to send the UID indicator from the customer to the supplier and to store the information with the sales order on the suppliers side.

If you activate business function ERP_UID_02, you can change the IUID indicator based on a change in the purchase order. In addition, the supplier can send the IUID indicator with confirmation to the customer. The message types that are used are ORDCHG and ORDRSP. The IDoc type is ORDERS05.

Furthermore the new IDoc type IUID_MESSAGE_COM01 (message type IUID_MESSAGE) is available for UII data.
