ERP_UID_02: Status Management for IUID-Relevant Items (new)
Use
As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enhancement Package 4 (SAP_APPL 604), business function Item Unique Identification (Additional Functions) (ERP_UID_02), a status management for IUID-relevant items is available.
The IUID status can be set automatically by a process (for example, when a UII is created) or in the IUID Status Board (transaction IUID_STATUS_BOARD).
The IUID Status Board is a new transaction that supports the status dependent processing of IUID-relevant items. You can select items and change the status or trigger status dependent follow-up actions (for example, the creation of messages to the registry for new items).
The following IUID statuses are available:
- UII Generated
Set when a UII is generated and assigned to an item in the system.
- UII Attached
Set by manual confirmation using the IUID Status Board. It indicates that the UII is physically attached to the item.
- UII Sent
Set by the IUID Status Board when the UII is sent to the registry.
- UII Confirmed
Set by the IUID Status Board when the UII is confirmed by the registry.
- UII Status Undefined
Used for items, which were created before business function ERP_UID_02 was activated and therefore have no IUID-related status.
