LOG_PP_604_BATHIS: Batch History (new)

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enhancement Package 4, Business Function Batch History( LOG_PP_604_BATHIS), you can implement an integrated scenario in SAP ERP. Batch history enables you to obtain complete batch history considering all relevant batch-related object types stored in different SAP and Non-SAP systems.

Effects on Existing Data

  • Master data is not changed using Batch History functionality.
  • Transactional data is changed by the Follow-Up Actions functionality from the Batch History details screen such as changing a Batch-Related Object (BRO) type.

Effects on Data Transfer

An index table (TOBJ_D_INDEX) is used to store information relevant to all batch related object types and this is based on a pull principle. A report program (RVBOBJTABUPD) will collect data from various batch related object types. You must select the Initial run for the first update and subsequently use the Delta option. You can define the database tables related to a batch related object type, define the required fields for attributes and maintain in customizing settings which is used to update the index table.

Effects on Customizing

You make the following Customizing settings for this function in Customizing for LO-BM:

  • You define the BRO types and parameters by choosing Logistics-General-> Batch Management-> Batch Information Cockpit-> Batch History- >Batch-Related Object Types-> Define Batch-Related Object Types and Parameters.
  • You define the review activities for BRO types by choosing Logistics-General-> Batch Management->Batch Information Cockpit-> Batch History-> Follow-Up Actions for BRO Type-> BAdI: Follow-Up Actions for Batch-Related Object Types.
