Sales price calculation function for external systems.

Use

The sales price calculation function has been extended to include the BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface) CalculatePrices. This allows communication between the sales price calculation function in the SAP System and one or more external systems. You can use this BAPI to perform the following functions from an external system:

• request current calculations for one or more materials.

The effect of requesting these calculations is that the system displays all the relevant pricing data (such as markup, margins, sales prices).

• make changes to sales prices.

If the calculations you have requested do not meet your expectations, you can change them. The changed data can then be returned to the central SAP System and posted to the database.

Errors reported by the SAP System (for example, database blocks or missing authorizations) are returned to the external system in a log.

If, for example, you have an external system (such as SAP Retail Store) in your store that communicates with a central SAP System, authorized employees can display store-specific calculations for materials and simulate changes, or change store-specific prices.
