LOG_MM_CI_2: Extended Search Function (TREX) (New)

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enhancement Package 3 (SAP_APPL 603), Business Function Material Management Purchasing (LOG_MM_CI_2), the F4 search help for purchasing documents (for example, purchase orders or purchase requisitions) has been enhanced by the TREX search function. The search engine (SE) is designed and optimized for a high workload and complex queries and therefore assures a good performance during the document search.

There is a quick and advance TREX search. For the quick search, you search using a text string. The system also searches for documents with similar names. For the advance search, you can search using a text string and/or additional fields

You must create an initial TREX search engine index. You do this in transaction COM_SE_ADMIN. The index can be deleted if it is no longer in use. Each time a delivery is created, changed or deleted, the TREX search engine index is updated.
