Customizing for Inventory Management: Changes to Collective Slips
Description
The following errors were established in connection with collective slips:
- It was not possible to print a collective slip and an individual slip for a goods movement at the same time.
- With version 3 (collective slip), it was not possible to create several mails.
- If you did not want a mail to be created for the first item of a material document, a mail was not created for the other items either, even if this was required (for example, due to order price quantity variance or the missing parts situation).
As of Release 3.0A (preliminary version came with Release 2.2D), a correction was implemented that causes output for item 0001 (formerly 0000) to be created for collective slips.
This correction means that you must enter requirement 173 for collective slips WE03 and WA03 in the output determination procedure in Inventory Management. Requirement 173 causes a collective slip to be created once only. If the requirement is not maintained, a collective slip is issued for each item.
Requirement 173 is maintained automatically for output types WE03 and WA03 in all clients (XPRA program RM0730AN).
What do you have to do?
If you have defined your own output types for collective slips, you must enter requirement 173 manually in Customizing for Inventory Management.
Effects on Customizing
If you work with the standard output types, no change is required. Requirement 173 is entered automatically in the output determination procedure for output types WE03 and WA03.
If you work with your own output types for collective slips, you must maintain them as follows:
- In Customizing for Inventory Management, choose Functions -> Output determination. From there, you select Material document -> Output procedures.

Choose procedure ME0001.
You will receive a list of all output types in Inventory Management. - In the field Reqt (requirement), enter 173 for collective slips (in the standard system: WE03/WA03).
For more information on configuring the output determination procedure, please refer to the step Maintain output determination procedures in the Implementation Guide for Inventory Management.
Changes to the Interface
- To find output for collective slips in the output list for the first item, use the function "Display material document" or "Change material document".
- The indicator Collective slips has been deleted from the initial screen
for the function Material document -> Process output.
Collective slips are now displayed in the list together with the other output types.
