General for agency business
In the retailing environment, you can offer various advantages or services for business between two third parties, e.g. del credere guarantees or reductions in payment transactions. You receive commission, which can be granted by the vendor or the customer, for these services.
This component supports two kinds of agency business:
- Incoming invoices
- Renumeration settlements
Incoming invoices
This kind of agency business is carried out mostly by buying groups, associations and branch offices in Germany.
As a member of a buying group, a customer closes a contract with a vendor. The vendor is contractually obliged to handle the business via the buying group. The buying group, or a bank appointed by the buying group, is the pooled payment point (recipient of payments) for all amounts owing from the members of the buying group from purchase of goods, and possibly other business carried out by the pooled payment vendor.
The payment agent receives the invoice direct from the vendor, enters this in the system and carries out settlement for the vendor and group member at intervals.
Renumeration settlement
In this kind of agency business, you handle all types of ad hoc renumerations and charges relating to a vendor by means of a vendor billing document. Del credere settlement from Pooled Payment require this kind of agency business in particular, so that del credere liabilities can be separated from merchandise transactions.
