Purchasing: New Parameters for Message Output
Description
New Parameter 'with message detail function'
As of Release 3.0, a new indicator has been added to the following functions:
- Output (printing/transmission) of purchasing documents as messages
- Urging letters (expediters) and reminders relating to purchasing documents
- Monitoring (follow-up) of order acknowledgments
The indicator determines whether messages can only be outputted or whether they can be displayed and changed.
If the indicator has not been set, the documents can only be outputted. Changes to the messages are not possible.
With this kind of accessing, no limitation to a certain document number range is necessary (accessing is much faster).
If the indicator has been set, the messages can be displayed and changed. A precondition for this function
is that the list may not be generated from all documents. Instead, selection must be restricted - as previously - by entry of a number interval.
New parameter "Generate and save messages"
There is a new parameter for the functions "Urging letters (expediters) and reminders relating to purchasing documents" and "Monitoring (follow-up) of order acknowledgments". This parameter causes messages to be generated and saved prior to list output. The list has a control function only. Messages generated in this way are then outputted via the usual functions.
Further notes
Through the addition of the parameter "Generate and save messages", the programs RM06ENMB and RM06ENAA supplied with Release 2.1 are rendered superfluous. They will therefore be deleted as of Release 3.0.
