Integration of Vendor Evaluation Within Purchasing

Description

As of Release 4.5A, you can invoke the vendor evaluation functionality at the time of source assignment and in the quotation price comparison list, thus providing yourself with an aid to decision-making when selecting vendors.

The vendor evaluation functionality is available at the following points:

  • In the dialog box with the sources for a purchase requisition item:
    The system generates a ranking list for the vendors that are displayed in relation to the relevant material or material group.
  • In the list of results for "Assign and process requisitions" via Environment -> Vendor evaluation:
    If you choose a requisition, the system generates a ranking list of all vendors that can supply the requested material.
  • In the list of results for "Quotation price comparison list" via Environment -> Vendor evaluation:
    If you position the cursor on
  • a vendor, only the latter's evaluation is displayed - in relation to the materials the vendor can supply.

  • a material, the system generates a ranking list of all vendors that have submitted a quotation.

  • the quotation data (e.g. price or rank), the system carries out an evaluation comparison.
