Scope of Functions

Send Function Enhancement

The following enhancements have been made for sending stock and sales data:

  • You can send forecasted data.
  • You can differentiate bewtween normal and promotions data.

You can diffrentiate between time-related data (history or forecast) and intended purpose (normal or promotion) for the data that you are sending. You then have the following options:

  1. historic sales data for normal merchandise
  2. forecast sales data for normal merchandise
  3. historic sales data for promotional merchandise
  4. forecast sales data for promotional merchandise

You can define the type of data that is to be sent to the recipient using the control profile in Customizing.

Recipient Function Enhancement

Until now, the stock and sales data that were received were always stored historically and in information structure S130 at the recipient in version (000) (standard version for historic data). You can differentiate between normal and promotions data using the separate fields in the structure for these two data types.

As you can now differentiate between the data according to time references (historical vs. forecast), two versions have been preconfigured for information structure S130:

  • actual version (for historical data): 000
  • active version (for forecast data): A00

You can change the version settings in Customizing.
