Reassignment of archive objects
Description
This function allows you to reassign an archive object to another SAP document. The link between the archive object and the original SAP document is deleted.

The menu option "Reassign" was included in the administration menu for the optical archive.
Changes in procedure
To reassign an archive object, proceed as follows:
- Display the archived original document which you want to reassign and select Edit -> Select in the document display.
- Select Tools -> Administration -> Administration -> Process technology -> Optical archive -> Archive objects -> Arch. objects -> Incoming/outgoing -> Reassign.
- Enter the object type for the source object (SAP document to which the archive object is still assigned) as well as the object type, document type, and (optionally) the retention period for the target object (SAP document to which the archive object is to be reassigned).
- Select Arch. objects -> Reassign.
- A dialog box is displayed in which you must enter the key fields for the source object. Confirm with OK.
- The source object is displayed for control purposes. Confirm the document.
- A dialog box is displayed in which you must enter the key fields for the target object. Confirm with OK.
- The target object is displayed for control purposes. After confirmation, the respective link entry is created.
