New Employee Self-Services in Benefits
Use
As of Release 4.6C, the following new Benefits services give employees access to benefits information online:
- Retirement Benefits
- Employees can use this service to display their projected retirement benefit, as calculated by the plan administrator. In addition to anticipated payments, information about the different types of credited service is displayed, and employees can also see their vesting percentage.
- Spending Account Claims
- Employees can use this service to display the balance of their flexible spending accounts and enter claims against their accounts.

Effects on Customizing
No specific Customizing is required for the Retirement Benefits service other than setting up the retirement plans themselves. If you want to implement the Spending Account Claims service, however, you need to make general settings in the Benefits Implementation Guide in the step Employee Self-Service -> Set ESS Parameters.
