Description
Social Security is an essential part of the compensatory scheme and an integral component of the Payroll Application for Thailand.
Conforming to legal requirements, the Social Security component in Release 4.5A calculates and deducts social security contributions during payroll run.
The Social Security component lets you:
- Set up company rates for employee and employer
- Set up Social Security number
- Set up Social Security category
- Set up the branch number and account number
Statutory rates have been set up for the following 3 categories of Social Security:
- Category 1 - Injury, sickness, disability, death and maternity
- Category 2 - Child welfare and old age benefits
- Category 3 - Unemployment benefits
Note: Currently, only Category 1 is being used in Thailand.
Social Security informaiton regarding social security category and social security number of the employee are stored in infotype Social Security TH (0365). Social Security rates are read from the Statutory rates or Company Rates table to calculate percentage contribution of both employee and employer.
