Enhancements to Infotype 0221 Payroll Results Adjustment
Use
Subtypes YANA and YAWA
- You can now make adjustments with subtypes YANA and YAWA at any time during the year.
- Note:Adjustments made with subtypes YANA and YAWA are entered through the Adjustments Workbench.
Wage types
- It is now possible to enter taxable technical wage types /3xx, /6xx and /7xx on subtypes ADJT and YANA.
- How deduction wage types are handled in subtypes ADJT and YANA has been aligned with the other infotypes.
- Previously, if you wanted to enter a negative deduction on subtypes ADJT and YANA it was necessary to enter a negative sign after the deduction wage type. The deduction wage type was then stored in RT with a negative sign as well. This was not consistent with how deduction wage types were entered on other infotypes.
- Now when you enter a negative deduction on subtypes ADJT and YANA you should not enter a negative sign. If you do, the deduction will be stored as a positive amount in RT. Conversely, if you enter a deduction wage type with no negative sign, it will be stored as a negative amount in RT.
Effects on Existing Data
Since deduction wage types may have been entered on these subtypes in earlier releases, you must run conversion program RPUPSNU0 to switch the signs of deduction wage types on existing ADJT and YANA records. This will avoid inconsistencies when running retrocalculation over past ADJT and YANA records.
Note: It is best to run this conversion program before you run payroll for the first time in Release 4.6C.
