Breaks outside planned working time
Description
As of release 3.0D, there is a new time identifier '09' for use in processing time data using time evaluation rule processing.
The system contained the following indicators until this point:
01 = Overtime
02 = Fill time
03 = Core time
04 = Core time break
05 = Fill time break
06 = Paid break
07 = Unpaid overtime break
08 = Paid overtime break
The following time identifier has been added:
09 = Overtime break
Background:
The time identifier describes a time pair in relation to the daily work schedule. As of release 3.0A, you can import and process breaks before the start or after the end of planned working hours in time evaluation.
In previous releases, overtime break times were assigned the same time indicator during processing as breaks taken during planned working time. This meant that it was difficult to keep time balances for breaks taken during overtime.
The addition of this new time indicator means that overtime breaks can be assigned to their own time types during Time type determination.
Effects on Customizing
If you take overtime breaks into account in time data processing, you must check the entries in the time type determination table, T555Z. Make sure that there is an entry for the new time identifier 09 in the time identifier column after each entry for identifier 08. If necessary, you should copy an entry using the following line as a model:
- Personnel subgroup grouping for time recording = 01
- Time type determination group = 01
- Time identifier = 09.
