PD: Tables for Controlling Structural Graphics Revised

Description

The existing tables controlling the SAP structural graphics have been replaced by new ones. The new tables offer much more flexibility when formatting the graphics according to your own needs.

Effects on System Administration

The following tables have been replaced:

  • "SAP Structural Graphics: PD: Object Data Control"
  • "SAP Structural Graphics: User Menus"
  • "SAP Structural Graphics: PD: Use of Menus"
  • "SAP Structural Graphics: PD: Profiles"
  • "SAP Structural Graphics: Colours and Shapes"
  • "SAP Structural Graphics: PD: Text Table"

The new tables offer the following advantages:

  • The access information for the contents of the "boxes" and the access information for the series lines is stored in two new, client independent tables.
  • The corresponding texts (field names) are stored language-independently in a table for graphics boxes and a table for graphics lines.
  • A new table with a corresponding text table describes processing tools with which you can make changes in the structural graphics - both structural and object changes.
  • From now on you can control how the tools should be grouped together in the graphics.
  • You can define contexts which specify the environment in which a graphic is called up.
  • Depending on the context, texts, colours and shapes, and in certain cases tools as well, can be displayed differently.
  • In addition, you can make text, colour and shape and tools settings for individual users and contexts.

Note

Standard entries are automatically transfered to the new tables.

Customer-specific changes must be transfered manually to the new structure.

In order to guarantee a problem-free transfer, the old tables are not deleted automatically. Customer-specific entries in the tables remain effective for the graphics.

Effects on Customizing

You can find out how to make the necessary customizing settings in the process steps in the following section of the IMG:

Dependent functions
