HCM_LSO_CI_2: Activation for Concurrent Employment (new)

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enterprise Extension Human Capital Management, Enhancement Package 4 (EA-HR 604), business function HCM, Learning Solution 02, Learning Management processes involving concurrently and globally employed persons can be supported.

When you activate concurrent employment, the following functions are made available to the individual roles in the Learning Management process:

  • Learner
  • In the Learning Portal, information such as training activities, required courses, qualifications, and qualification requirements can be displayed for global or concurrent employees for each of the employees’ personnel numbers.

  • If a concurrently employed person books a course in the Learning Portal, the approval workflow is forwarded to the responsible manager.

  • When checking the participation requirements, the system accounts for all courses taken and all qualifications for all of the employee’s personnel numbers.

  • Depending on your Customizing settings, qualifications achieved after completing Web-based training can be transferred to the employee.

  • In the Learning Portal, you can display the qualification profile of a concurrently employed person with respect to all of the requirements of the positions occupied by the employee.

  • When scheduling face-to-face training, all personnel numbers of concurrently employed instructors are displayed when the instructor is being assigned.

  • Course Administrator
  • When booking participation in a course for a concurrent or global employee, the system automatically takes the data from all of an employee’s personnel numbers into account during checks. This includes information such as courses taken, course history, and qualifications.

  • All of a learner's absences, attendances, booked courses, and instructor activities are taken into account.

  • When scheduling face-to-face training, all personnel numbers of concurrently employed instructors are taken into account along with all relevant information such as absences.

  • Business Intelligence evaluations, for example of participation or instructor data, can be launched for people (central person ID) or for individual personnel numbers.

  • Instructor/Tutor
  • In the Instructor Portal, instructors with multiple personnel assignments can display all courses assigned to them and the relevant personnel number.

The business function includes the following new object:

If Concurrent Employment (PA-CE) or Management of Global Employees (PA-GE) is activated, concurrent employment for SAP Learning Solution is also automatically activated.
