HCM_LSO_CI_2: Business Function HCM, Learning Solution 02

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enterprise Extension Human Capital Management, Enhancement Package 2 (EA-HR 604), the HCM, Learning Solution 02 business function is available to you. You can use this business function to optimize and more efficiently structure Learning Management processes in your enterprise.

The business function includes the following innovations:

  • Business package for course administrators 1.4
In the course administrator portal, new user interfaces are available to course administrators for carrying out recurring tasks. This provides a central point of entry to the relevant information and functions for completing day-to-day activities and affects the following task areas:
  • Management of courses

  • Management of course participations

  • Management of resources

  • Following up of courses

  • Management and conducting of mandatory courses

  • Management of course-related correspondence

  • Publication of course content

  • Making locally available course content accessible
Course administrators use this function to make e-learning-type courses available to learners on data media such as CDs, DVDs, or portable storage devices. This way, even learners in remote areas with a limited network connection can be involved in training activities supported by e-learning methods.
  • DataSources for course appraisals
Predefined DataSources are available that can be used in Business Intelligence application to evaluate and analyze data that learners have entered for the courses they have completed.
  • Learning Management Services for Managers
The manager portal role in Manager Self-Service has been enhanced with services that managers can use to carry out administrative activities courses and bookings on mandatory courses for employees in their teams. This enables managers to react to qualification deficits in their teams and make necessary changes to training activities.
  • Business Package for Referent/Tutor 1.41
With the portal role’s new version 1.41, instructors and tutors can use technically revised user interfaces to perform recurring activities that are part of a course follow-up.
  • Activation for Concurrent Employment
By activating for concurrent employment, Learning Management processes within an enterprise can be supported for concurrent and global employees.
