EnjoySAP - New Maintenance Transaction for Production Versions

Scope of Functions

Until now, you could edit production versions either from the relevant material master record or from the master recipe. In both cases, you had to deal with certain restrictions with regard to the maintenance.

A separate maintenance transaction for production versions is now available, which you can also use as an initial screen for master recipe of material (BOM) maintenance. The new transaction has the following advantages:

  • You can create a worklist for any number of production versions.
  • In this worklist, you can edit production versions in mass processing or individual processing.
  • From the worklist, you can directly call up all activities, such as creating, copying, changing, displaying, and deleting production versions.
  • You can create any number of production versions and assign change numbers to them independent of recipe maintenance. In this way, the approval procedure has been simplified considerably.
  • If a master recipe has been assigned to a production version as its detailed plan, you can navigate to recipe maintenance from the production version to create or edit the master recipe and BOM. This means that you can now access production versions, master recipes, and BOMs from the same screen.
If a change number has been assigned to a production version, this number is also valid for recipe and BOM maintenance from within the production version. This enables you to use an approval procedure in the same way for all related objects.

To access the new transaction from the R/3 menu, choose Logistics -> Production - process -> Master data -> Production versions or Logistics -> Production -> Master data -> Production versions.
