Short text
- Changed Functions in the Browser-Based PI Sheet
Use
The following functions available in the conventional ABAP list-based PI sheet are no longer supported by the browser-based PI sheet or have been changed:
- Process Data Documentation
- In the current release, you cannot archive process data that has been entered in the browser-based PI sheet in the order record or batch record. Right now, the browser-based PI sheet does not yet comply with international requirements laid down in the guidelines on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for the pharmaceutical and food industries.
- However, SAP plans to implement the archiving of order and batch records by the next release.
- Calculating Values for the Entire PI Sheet
- In the ABAP list-based PI sheet, you can calculate all values to be calculated for the entire PI sheet by choosing Edit -> Calculate formulas. The system displays all calculated values in the PI sheet.
- This function is not available in the browser-based PI sheet but SAP plans to implement it by the next release.
- Displaying Signatures
- If you have executed digital signatures in the ABAP list-based PI sheet, you can choose Extras -> Display dig. signature to display all digital signature executed for the PI sheet.
- This function is not available in the browser-based PI sheet but SAP plans to implement it by the next release.
- Changing Control Information
- In the ABAP list-based PI sheet, you can change control information defined with characteristic PPPI_INSTRUCTION in a PI sheet that has already been created. You do so by choosing Edit -> Edit text.
- For technical reasons, this function is no longer available in the browser-based PI sheet.
- Reversing Order Confirmations
- In the ABAP list-based PI sheet, you can reverse an order confirmation directly from within the PI sheet by choosing Environment -> Reverse -> Confirmation. The system takes you to the initial screen for reversing confirmations.
- This function is no longer available in the context menu of the browser-based PI sheet since it is covered by the personalization functions of the mySAP.com Workplace.
- Reversing Material Documents
- In the ABAP list-based PI sheet, you can reverse goods movements directly from within the PI sheet by choosing Environment -> Reverse -> Material document. The system takes you to the initial screen for reversing goods movements.
- This function is no longer available in the context menu of the browser-based PI sheet since it is covered by the personalization functions of the mySAP.com Workplace.
- Displaying Logs
- In the ABAP list-based PI sheet, you can choose between different types of logs (such as, loading log and display log) for which you can display the corresponding system messages by choosing Goto -> Logs.
- In the browser-based PI sheet, the different log types are no longer offered separately. You can display the process messages as follows:
- They are directly displayed in the status bar while calling or maintaining the PI sheet. You can display the long texts for these messages by double-clicking the status bar.
- You can choose Edit -> Display log to display the log and all system messages in an overview.
- Signing and Completing PI Sheets
- In the ABAP list-based PI sheet, you execute a signature at the end of a PI sheet to confirm that the data entered is complete and correct. Signature strategies can be carried out both synchronously or asynchronously. After signing the PI sheet, you must explicitly carry out the Set to complete function. Only then does the PI sheet obtain status Completed.
- In the browser-based PI sheet, the Sign and Complete steps have been combined into one. The PI sheet is automatically completed by the last asynchronous signature.
