Interface Standardization for Technical Objects

Description

The following changes have been made to standardize the interfaces for functional locations, equipment and serial numbers:

• Use of the tab-page technique for functional locations

• Amalgamation of the general data for equipment and functional locations

• New field selection for technical objects. Previously, the location data screen ILOA was the only jointly-used screen but now all jointly-used fields use the same tab pages. The control of these fields has been taken over by the Customizing transaction OIAF. Individual control is supported where necessary for functional locations, equipment and serial umbers by the influencing field ITOB type (type of technical object). The transactions OIAD (Equipment field selection) and OIAE (Functional location selection) now just contain a few fields.

• New customer exit ITOB0001 for technical objects for maintaining customer-defined data on the tab page 'Other data'

• Reorganization of sales data: The sales organization data is no longer on the 'Location data' tab page, but on the 'Sales data' tab page.

• Synchronization of customer and partner data: The customer data from equipment master record is synchronized with the partner data once you have assigned a partner function to a customer field for the corresponding equipment type in the Customizing transaction OIEV. In this case, the partner data is maintained directly on the tab page for the customer field, the values are then copied automatically to the corresponding master data fields (cannot be maintained directly). If snchronization is incomplete, it is possible to maintain directly the master data fields on the tab page "Other data".

• Direct display of the address on the tab page 'Location data', data can be maintained using the pushbutton or the menu function

• Account assignment data on the tab page 'Organization'

• Direct display of the superior and subordniate objects on the tab page 'Structure', maintenance using the pushbutton or the menu function

• Integration of inventory-managed serial numbere in the equipment/ serial number master data on the tab page 'Serial data'
