Advance Shipment
Description
This logistics process enables the shipment of spare parts to the service technician or customer within the framework of service processing. The individual functions can be implemented by all customer service organizations that service technicians use when working in the field.
The spare parts that are to be sent can either be located in the warehouse, or can be obtained by ordering from external vendors (third-party order). They can be planned in advance within the framework of service processing.
The service technician can send back spare parts that are not used to the service organization. Only those parts that were actually used for the service are charged in conjunction with customer consignment processing.
The shipment of spare parts is processed using a service order with sales order.
The service order can make reference to a service contract item. As a result of this, existing price agreements are considered within the context of resource-related billing. The service contract is the account assignment object.
