Short text
Capital Investment Orders
Description
You can use a new order type to process capital investments and/or maintenance tasks which need to be activated. You must indicate the new order type as a capital investment order in Customizing. The system creates an asset under construction (AuC) from the maintenance order, at the latest when the order is released.
You can also generate finished fixed assets from the maintenance order. The AuC can then be settled to the fixed asset(s) when the final settlement is made.
In addition, you can enter depreciation simulation data from the maintenance order.

Note:
- An account assignment proposal for forming proposal settlement rules does not have any effect on the capital investment order because when the order is first settled, a settlement rule is automatically generated for the AuC.
