MCB - Budget Planning for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service (New)

Use

As of SAP ECC 5.00, PLM Extension (EA_PLM 500), you can avail of functions for budget planning in Plant Maintenance and in Customer Service through SAP BW-BPS (SAP Business Information Warehouse). Budget planning can be based on a zero-based budgeting method or on a history-based budgeting method.

For the zero-based budgeting method the budget is created on the basis of planned data, particularly on the basis of simulated planned costs and quantities. For this, data from maintenance plans, data from task lists, or ad hoc data is used as a basis. In plant maintenance, this budget process based on planned data is known as zero-based budgeting.

For the history-based budgeting method the budget is determined on the basis of historical actual costs.

You make the settings for budget planning in the BW-BPS system under Product Lifecycle Management -> Budget Planning for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service.
