Digital Signature for Order Operations (New)

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enhancement Package 2 (SAP_APPL 602), you can use digital signatures to sign off maintenance order operations. This speeds up the sign-off process and provides for accountability.

The digital signatures function for maintenance order operations is accessed from the detailed view of operation data.

Digital signatures are created based on the signature strategy of individual order type and plant combinations. You must therefore assign a signature strategy to the relevant order type and plant combinations. For each combination, you must also specify whether digital signatures are mandatory, optional, or not to be used. You make these settings in the IMG activity Define Digital Signatures for Order Types.
