LOG_EAM_TOHO: Business Function Takeover/Handover of Technical Objects
Use
As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enterprise Extension PLM (EA-PLM 603), Enhancement Package 3, the business function Takeover/Handover of Technical Objects (LOG_EAM_TOHO) is available.
You can use the Web Dynpro ABAP application Takeover/Handover of Technical Objects to support you in setting up the data for a new, used, or repaired technical object in the ERP system. Takeover and handover are carried out on a single user interface. This is beneficial because:
- The user needs less time to set up the data
- Reduced probability of errors
- Easy hand-over between responsible roles
- Clear visibility of takeover progress/status at any time
- Electronic Data Transfer (EDT)
The technical object structure is represented in the ERP system by a hierarchy of functional locations, equipment and equipment BOMs (for non-serialized components).
When a technical object is 'handed over' to a business partner (for example, for repair) and a file including all the information about the technical object structure is created. This is sent together with the technical object to the business partner.
During handover, in addition to creating the file, the following actions can be performed according to your settings:
- Deactivate equipment in the background
- Deactivate functional locations in the background
- Deactivate maintenance plans for the technical objects in the background
- Deactivate the notifications for the technical objects in the background
- Lock the PM/CS orders for the technical objects
Takeover of technical objects process supports you in setting up data for a new, used, or repaired technical object in the ERP system.
On the single interface are the following tab pages:
- Functional Location Structure
- Here, you can adapt or create the functional location structure in your system using information from the business partner structure file. You have the following methods for creating or adapting the functional location structure:
- By loading an existing object and adapting the structure
- By loading a template which you will use to create a new structure
- By copying the whole business partner structure
- Preparation & Generation
- Here, you can simultaneously process multiple technical objects and their master data within the technical object structure. You can create/update equipment and functional locations as well as update counter readings.
- Work Completion
- Here, for technical objects being returned, for example, from repair, the user can list existing outstanding notifications for the object and complete notifications that have been acted upon by the business partner.
- Create Maintenance Plans
- Here, maintenance plans can be created and listed for new and existing objects.
- Schedule Maintenance Plans
- Here, maintenance plans can be changed, scheduled, activated and deactivated.
