LOG_EAM_CI_4: Maintenance Cost Budgeting (New)

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0, Enterprise Extension PLM (EA-PLM 605), business function Enterprise Asset Management Part 4(LOG_EAM_CI_4), you can use the new features available in Maintenance Cost Budgeting (MCB).

Following are the features available from the perspective of the type of master data that the extractor can handle:

  • Extracting maintenance plans that creates notification as call object
  • Extracting details from hierarchical task list as well as maintenance plans that use hierarchical task list

Apart form the above mentioned improvements, the following feature is also available:

Retracting the approved budget back to the ERP system, and allow the planner to review these details along with cost incurred to maintain the technical object, while planning and processing the order. With this the planner gets a better visibility for budget utilization.

The following additional details also get extracted and these changes are also available in the lower releases:

  • The extractor for simulated cost extracts details of maintenance cost at operation level. It can also extract simulated material requirement including the period in which they may be required.
  • The extractor includes service master, work center along with its plant, controlling activities as well as the efforts needed to perform the task. These extra features allow the planner to get more detailed view of zero based cost budget. The planner also gets information from the simulated requirement of resources.

To use this function, you must activate the business function Enterprise Asset Management Part 4(LOG_EAM_CI_4).

You make the Customizing settings for this function in Customizing for PMunder Plant Maintenance and Customer Service → Information Systems for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service → Maintenance Cost Budgeting for the following activities:

  • Extraction Parameters:Task List/Maintenance Plan
  • Define Budget Check for Order Types
