LOG_EAM_LINEAR_2: Graphic Display of Object Networks (New)

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 6 for SAP ERP 6.0 (SAP_APPL 606), business function EAM, Linear Asset Management 2 (LOG_EAM_LINEAR_2), you can graphically display object networks that you designed in transaction Create Object Network (IN21).

You can define in Customizing how you want the system to display the networks in the graphic:

  • You can use the node type to define the size, shape, and color of each node in the network. You can also store your own icons for the system to use for the nodes.
  • You can use the edge type to define the size, shape, color, and thickness of each edge in the network. You can also define the size, shape, and font of the labels.
  • You can define which additional information you want to provide your users with as tooltips in the graphic.
  • You can define which transactions you want your users to be able to navigate to from the context menu of the graphic.

If you do not want to make any customer-specific settings for the network graphics, the system displays the networks according to the SAP standard profiles.

Effects on Existing Data

To display the network data as a graphic, you can choose the Display Network Graphic pushbutton in the new transaction Display Object Network (IN23).

You can define the graphic display of object networks for equipment and functional locations in Customizing for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service under Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service → Technical Objects → Linear Asset Management → Define Network Graphic.
