Updated Roles in the Plant Maintenance (PM) Component (Changed)

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 6 for SAP ERP 6.0 (EA-APPL 606), the following roles in the Plant Maintenance (PM) component are new, changed, or obsolete:

  • SAP_COCKPIT_EAMS_MAINT_WORKER2: Maintenance Worker (New)
  • SAP_COCKPIT_EAMS_GENERIC_FUNC2: Generic EAM Functions (New)
This role is a pool role. It is not intended that you assign it to users as is, but that you use it as the basis for creating customer-specific roles instead. To allow you to control user access to the functions available with the role, the following new authorization roles exist:
  • SAP_AUTH_EAMS_MASTER_DATA: Authorizations for Master Data in EAM

  • SAP_AUTH_EAMS_PLANNING: Authorizations for Planning Tasks in EAM

  • SAP_AUTH_EAMS_EXECUTION: Authorizations for Execution Tasks in EAM

  • SAP_COCKPIT_EAMS_MAINT_WORKER: Maintenance Worker (Obsolete)
This role is obsolete and has been replaced by role SAP_COCKPIT_EAMS_MAINT_WORKER2.
  • SAP_COCKPIT_EAMS_GENERIC_FUNC: Generic EAM Functions (Obsolete)
This role is obsolete and has been replaced by role SAP_COCKPIT_EAMS_GENERIC_FUNC2.
  • SAP_SR_THTECHOB_TAKEOVER_1: Takeover of Technical Objects for SAP NetWeaver Business Client (Changed)
In this role, the default values for the required authorization objects have now been entered where possible. These need to be completed according to the Customizing settings. Depending on which business processes you use in the system, you may need to add additional authorization objects to the role.
  • SAP_SR_THTECHOB_HANDOVER_1: Handover of Technical Objects for SAP NetWeaver Business Client (Changed)
In this role, the default values for the required authorization objects have now been entered where possible. These need to be completed according to the Customizing settings. Depending on which business processes you use in the system, you may need to add additional authorization objects to the role.
